The National Instruments USB-6216 Multifunction I/O Device is a compact and portable bus-powered device that features 16 single-ended and 8 differential analog input channels featuring a sampling frequency of 400 kS/s. The analog-to-digital (ADC) resolution of the NI USB-6216 device is 16 bits. The USB-6216 has 2 analog output channels which support a maximum sample rate of 250 kS/s for each channel. The analog absolute accuracy of the NI USB-6216 Multifunction I/O Device is 2710 µV. Besides analog I/O channels, the USB-6216 device contains 32 bidirectional digital I/O channels and 2 general-purpose timer/counters featuring 32-bit resolution. The maximum internal base clock frequency of the timers is 80 MHz. Moreover, the NI USB-6216 device provides 1 frequency generator channel with base clocks of 10 MHz and 100 kHz.
The USB-6216 device is designed to bear 60 VDC continuous voltage between the channel and earth ground. Besides, the NI USB-6216 is capable of withstanding an overvoltage up to 1000 Vrms between the channel and earth ground for 5 sec.
