National Instruments VXI-SC-1102 Multiplexer Amplifier Module

The VXI-SC-1102 is an efficient Multiplexer Amplifier Module. The VXI-SC-1102 is manufactured by National Instruments. The NI VXI-SC-1102 module is used as a component of a large VXI system used for signal conditioning. The components of the signal conditioning system include a carrier module and single or multiple VXI submodules for signal conditioning. The carrier module of the VXI signal conditioning is the VXI-SC-1000 module. The VXI-SC-1102 is used as submodule of VXI signal conditioning module. The VXI-SC-1102 is installed into the VXI-SC type sub-slots that are available in the VXI-SC-1000 carrier module.

This Multiplexer Amplifier Module incorporates 32 input channels. The input channels of the VXI-SC-1102 module are differential analog channels. In addition to the 32 input channels, the NI VXI-SC-1102 also features a cold-junction sensor terminal. A 3-pole low-pass filter is installed on each channel of the VXI-SC-1102. The cutoff frequency of this lowpass filter is 2 Hz. This filter enables this Multiplexer Amplifier Module to eliminate noise signals with 60 Hz frequency. The VXI-SC-1102 module is also equipped with an amplifier on each channel. The gain of the amplifier is selectable as 1 or 100.

The NI VXI-SC-1102 is capable of generating a single output by multiplexing its inputs. This single output can be used to control a VXI-MIO board. The multiplexing feature of the VXI-SC-1102 module is also useful when an application has a large number of digitizable inputs. The VXI-SC-1102 can be used for signal conditioning different components, such as volt and millivolt sources with a low-bandwidth, current sources within the range of 4 – 20 mA, and 0 – 20 mA process-current sources.

VXI-SC-1102 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
