Keysight/Agilent M9290A CXA-M PXIe Signal Analyzer
The Keysight M9290A CXA-M PXIe signal analyzer offers an unprecedented level of performance up to 26.5 GHz as a highly portable solution that fits into a 4-slot frame. Additionally, this single instrument allows you to quickly identify spurious responses, harmonic activity, and transient spectral events using both swept and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) analysis methods. This instrument can be configured with an optional full-band tracking generator, allowing engineers to perform calibration of scalar stimulus/response relationships during direct characterization of amplifiers and filters at the module level. The native SCPI command set and available IVI drivers enable quick and easy system integration. Engineers will also find it beneficial to note that they are able to leverage their current test software due to its backward compatibility with all previous Keysight X-Series and ESA spectrum analyzers.
The Keysight M9290 A signal analyzer has several key measurement capabilities; these include a displayed average noise level (DANL) of -163 dBm at 1 GHz, -149 dBm at 2 GHz, and -140 dBm at 10 GHz. In addition to DANL, the Keysight M9290A has a phase noise of -110 dBc/Hz @ a 10 kHz offset frequency from a 1 GHz carrier, a third-order intercept point of +16 dBm, amplitude accuracy of +/- .5 dB, and a 111 dB third-order dynamic range @ 1 GHz. The standard attenuation offered by the Keysight M9290A is 70 dB with ten 10 dB steps and analysis bandwidth options of 25 MHz. Engineers have multiple options when selecting triggers for capturing gated signals; these options include RF burst triggering, video triggers, external triggers, line triggers, periodic triggers, etc.
Across the entire product life cycle, engineers utilize the Keysight M9290A for characterizing avionics radios, satellite payloads, radar front ends, electronic warfare receivers, high-volume manufacturing of RF components, assembled boards, and other applications. Due to the small footprint of the Keysight M9290A, it enables engineers to build extremely dense multichannel test systems where no compromise exists in terms of sensitivity or accuracy for military depot maintenance test systems and public safety radio compliance testing. Due to sharing a common measurement personality with other instruments in the Keysight X-Series family along with a remote programming interface, engineers can easily convert their benchtop development system to PXIe-based production automated test equipment (ATE).
