National Instruments AT-MIO-16D Multifunction I/O Board

The AT-MIO-16D (Part Numbers: 776646-01, 776646-11, 181965-01, and 181965-11) is a Multifunction Input/Output Board for the PC AT by National Instruments. This board belongs to the AT Series. The NI AT-MIO-16D is installed with NI-DAQ driver software. Operating systems like LabVIEW and LabWindows are used to install the AT-MIO-16D for controlling functions and data acquisition tasks. The AT-MIO-16D is comprised of two main parts. One is the MIO-16 circuitry, while the second one is the DIO-24 circuitry.

This Multifunction I/O Board is designed with the combined functions of two popular National Instruments boards: the AT-MIO-16 and PC-MIO-24. To add signal conditioning capabilities, you can utilize the AMUX-64T multiplexer board, SCXI multiplexer products, or SCXI signal conditioning modules. The AT-MIO-16 circuitry is built with a 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with 16 analog inputs. There are 8 digital lines of transistor-transistor-logic (TTL) standard. For estimating input/output time duration, three 16-bit timers are linked with the AT-MIO-16 circuitry.

The DIO-24 circuitry in the AT-MIO-16D is fabricated with an 82C55A programmable peripheral interface (PPI). There are 24-bit parallel lines. The AT-MIO-16D is configured with two 12-bit digital-to-analog convertors with double-buffered functionalities. This Multifunction I/O Board is available with internal and external A/D timing options. The AT-MIO-16D has been equipped with a DAC reference voltage as 10 V with unipolar and bipolar voltage output capabilities. This board contains onboard timers to generate waveforms. The AT-MIO-16D can sink levels up to 24 mA. There are four channels used in the NI AT-MIO-16D Multifunction I/O Board; three are for timers and one is for frequency output.
