National Instruments 781098-01 Voltage Output Module

The National Instruments 781098-01, often known as the NI-9269, is a Voltage Output Module. This module is perfect for high-precision applications since it has four analog output channels that can each provide a voltage range of ±10 V with a resolution of 16 bits. Channel-to-channel isolation, which guarantees improved signal quality and safety, is its main benefit. In settings with several electrical systems, such automotive testing or industrial applications, where noise levels are high and numerous ground planes are typical, this isolation is very helpful.

Because of its adaptability and compatibility with both the CompactRIO and CompactDAQ platforms, the 781098-01 module can be switched between both systems without requiring any changes. CompactRIO is renowned for its compact size, rugged design, open-embedded architecture, and C Series module integration. Because of the FPGA it contains, customized timing, triggering, and processing are possible, which is crucial for a variety of embedded applications. Conversely, CompactDAQ offers a robust and portable data acquisition system. Direct interfacing with sensors or signals is made possible by the integration of connectivity, data gathering, and signal conditioning into modular I/O. CompactDAQ makes it simple to customize data administration, processing, visualization, and acquisition when used with NI LabVIEW.

The 781098-01 has four analog output channels with a 16-bit R-2R DAC as part of its output characteristics. The module has a power-on output state of high impedance and starts up at 0 V. With an average current of ±10 mA per channel, it can drive a current of ±20 mA across all channels. With a 100 mΩ output impedance, there is very little signal loss. The accuracy and dependability of the module are demonstrated by its nominal output voltage range of ±10 V, which ranges from a minimum of ±10.38 V to a maximum of ±10.56 V.

With respect to crosstalk, the 781098-01 offers 120 dB common-mode voltage isolation and 100 dB channel-to-channel isolation. For safety, it can withstand continuous channel-to-channel voltages of 250 V RMS and up to 1,390 V RMS during a 5-second dielectric test. Similarly, it can handle continuous channel-to-earth ground voltages of 250 V RMS and 2,300 V RMS in a dielectric withstand test.
