National Instruments PS-17 Industrial Power Supply

Rated to provide 480 Watts of output power, 20 Amperes output current, and 24 V to 28 VDC output voltage, the NI PS-17 (Part Number: 781095-01) is an Industrial Power Supply. This Power Supply can be used to power a variety of devices and instruments. The NI PS-17 can be operated over an input voltage range of 110 to 150 VDC and 85 to 276 VAC. For dynamic loads, this model can provide up to 150% of peak load capability and PFC (active power factor correction).

For easy and tool-free field installation, spring-clamp terminals are provided with DC OK relay contact.  The DC OK relay contact is an essential feature of this Power Supply that keeps monitoring the output voltage being generated by the Power Supply. The contacts of the DC OK relay close when the output voltage reaches the output voltage setpoint. In case of > 10% voltage dip below the output voltage setpoint, the DC OK relay contact opens and re-closes when the system detects that the output voltage has recovered and exceeded 90% of the voltage setpoint. Like other power supplies from this family, the PS-17 also has an output voltage potentiometer that can be used to adjust the output voltage from 24 V to 28 V. The device has an output current of 20 A and an input voltage of 85 to 276 VAC/110 to 150 VDC.

It is possible to operate two or more National Instruments PS-17 Power Supplies to increase the output voltage. The user can add as many units as required, providing that the net output voltage stays under 150 VDC. Moreover, power supplies of the same type must be used for serial operation, so it is not possible to operate a PS-17 Power Supply in series with a PS-16 or PS-15 Power Supply.

The PS-17 weighs 1200 g, and measures 82 x 124 x 127 mm. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -25 °C to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 95%. The power supply device is designed to comply with the electrical safety standards: IEC/EN 60950-1 and UL 508.
