National Instruments 779313-01 PXI Digital I/O Module

National Instruments part number 779313-01 is the identifying number for the PXI-6521 PXI Digital I/O Module. This module features 8 configurable bipolar isolated input channels each with its ground reference isolated from other channels and 8 electromechanical output channels. The input voltage range for each channel is from –30 Volt DC to 30 Volt DC allowing the I/O module to sense a higher range of input signals. Its isolation voltage from channel to channel is 60 VDC continuous while from channel to earth and channel to the bus is 150 Volts continuous.

The 8 electromechanical relay output channels of the 779313-01 can be configured as 3-channel SPDT and 5-channel SPST, non-latching. These output relays can switch power up to 60 W/60 VA and handle a maximum current of 2 A per channel. These relays have an operating time of 2 ms typical and 4 ms maximum while their expected relay life is 100,000,000 cycles of mechanical and 100,000 cycles to 500,000 cycles from 125 VAC to 30 VDC electrical. It has an initial DC path resistance of less than 0.2 ohms typical and greater than 1.0 ohms typical end of life thus maintaining signal integrity and minimizing power loss. 

This PXI I/O module has operating power conditions of  100 mA at 3.3 Volts DC and 300 mA typically at 5 Volts DC. The module operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius and supports relative humidity levels from 10% to 90%, non-condensing. It can withstand storage temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius and storage humidity levels from 5% to 95%, non-condensing. Physically, the 779313-01 has a compact structure with dimensions of 16 cm × 10 cm (6.3 in. × 3.9 in.) and weighs 150.0 g (5.0 oz).

This module is also compliant with many safety standards including the IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1, making it suitable for use in measurement, control, and laboratory use. With EMC compatibility, this module can function in environments where electrical noise levels are high.
