Users can create their own connector modules utilizing the NI FlexRIO Adapter Module Development Kit (MDK). With custom connector modules, the user can actualize the correct analog and digital I/O application, alongside graphical FPGA programming gave by LabVIEW.
This PXI FPGA Module includes a Xilinx Virtex-5 SXT FPGA with 8,160 slices, a block RAM (BRAM) of 4,752 kbit, and up to 512MB of locally available DRAM, which the user can access at bus capacities up to 3.2 GB/s. In addition to general-purpose reconfigurable logic, SXT FPGAs are streamlined for fast digital signal processing (DSP), with up to 640 DSP cuts for single-cycle increase and separating capacities. The PXIe-7962 PXI FPGA Module for FlexRIO also highlights the NI STC-3 application-specific incorporated circuit (ASIC) to provide an optimized, high-bandwidth PCI Express x4 communications link to the backplane of the PXI Express chassis.
