National Instruments part number 779112-01 is an identifying part number for the PXI-6220, a Multifunction I/O Device with 8 differential channels, 16 bits of resolution and a maximum sample rate of 250 kS/s. The NI 779112-01 features two 32-bit counters/timers, analog input, correlated digital I/O, and automated triggering. For output applications, it can generate pulses, pulse trains with dynamic updates, frequency division, and equivalent time sampling. 

It features a FIFO of 2 samples and supports data transfers via a dedicated scatter-gather DMA controller for each counter/timer, interrupts, and programmed I/O. The inputs include Gate, Source, HW_Arm, Aux, A, B, Z, and Up_Down signals. The external base clock frequency ranges from 0 MHz to 20 MHz. This device includes NI LabVIEW, allowing users to create custom data acquisition applications using graphical programming and over 500 analysis functions and advanced programming tools. LabVIEW Full and Professional development systems include LabVIEW SignalExpress for interactive data logging. M Series modules are compatible with LabVIEW 7.x, LabWindows/CVI 7.x, Measurement Studio 7.x, LabVIEW SignalExpress 1.x, and LabVIEW with the LabVIEW Real-Time Module 7.1. They also work with Visual Studio .NET, ANSI C/C++, and Visual Basic 6.0.
