Keysight E1476A T/C Relay Multiplexer
High-density reed relay multiplexer, the Keysight E1476A 64-Channel 3-wire T/C Relay Multiplexer is built as a C-size, 1-slot, register-based VXI module. This device is designed for uses that call for accurate thermocouple-compensated measurements over a number of channels. Because of its dynamic reconfigurability, the E1476A may accommodate 64 channels of two-, three-, or four-wire switching (32 channels) according on the needs of a particular measurement. The module includes a switch-equipped component card and a QUIC spring clamp terminal block that slide onto the component card to provide dependable connections and a simple setup process.
This multiplexer is particularly useful in settings where precise, high-point count measurements are required. It performs exceptionally well in providing voltage measurements with excellent integrity thanks to its three-wire guard, low, and high switching capabilities. To meet a variety of testing needs, it also facilitates precise four-wire resistance measurements in addition to two-wire resistance measurements. Notably, the E1476A is perfect for intricate temperature monitoring applications because it can manage up to 64 channels of thermocouple temperature measurements, which are further enhanced by automatic cold junction correction.
Through quick connect screwless terminals on the companion terminal block, each of the 64 channels in the E1476A offers a separate high, low, and guard connection. The multiplexer has two banks of 32 channels each, with a voltage sense control switch and a current source control switch added to one bank. With this dual-bank setup, 32 four-wire measurement channels with complete high, low, and guard connections are made possible. Half of the channels can be used as sensing channels and the other half as current source channels.
The E1476A comes with a 6 centimeter analog bus cable (E1400-61605) that can be used to link the multiplexer to other VXI multimeters or an E1411B 5.5-digit multimeter using the analog bus connector on the front panel. In order to facilitate the integration of extra measurement equipment, the terminal block additionally offers access to analog bus lines for connection to external voltmeters or multimeters via traditional front panel connectors. Because of its versatility and the sturdy architecture of the multiplexer, the Keysight E1476A is a vital tool for intricate, high-precision measuring systems.
