National Instruments PCI-6220 Multifunction DAQ
The National Instruments PCI-6220 (Part number: 779065-01, 191329-04) is a Multifunction DAQ from the M Series. This model comes featured with 24 Digital I/O, 16 Analog Input (16 single-ended or 8 differential) connectors, and offers correlated digital I/O. Moreover, this device additionally has two 32-bit counters/timers. The NI PCI 6220 DAQ is a reliable DAQ in various applications from simple laboratory automation to manufacturing testing and design verification. With this model, adding a high-voltage measurement capability and sensors is possible through SCC signal conditioning modules. For increased measurement accuracy, the NI-MCal calibration technology is also incorporated.
The PCI 6220 National Instruments is designed to work with multiple operating systems utilizing three driver options, including Measurement Hardware DDK, NI-DAQmx, and the NI-DAQmx Base. Although it is a low-cost data acquisition device, the NI PCI-6220 M Series DAQ comes with advanced and innovative NI features, such as an STC System Controller and a PGIA 2 Programmable Amplifier. This device can acquire samples at 250 kS per second sample rate in single channel mode or multichannel mode through its DC coupled analog inputs. It is equipped with one 68-pin VHDCI I/O connector.
The PCI 6220 NI offers integrated protection against all its sense and analog input channels. This model is set to actuate at ±25 with the device on and at ±15 V with the device off. This Multifunction DAQ comes with a comprehensive triggering portfolio so it can receive external digital triggers from any PFI and RTSI. For device-to-device triggering, a special RTSI trigger bus RTSI <0...7> is also provided. Besides this, the National Instruments NI PCI-6220 has 6 DMA channels out of which 6 can be used for digital input, digital output, analog input, counter/time 0, and counter/timer 1. The device has a recommended warm-up time of 15 minutes, and should be calibrated at least once a year. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 ºC to 55 ºC.
PCI-6220 Mature Status has been announced by National Instruments, but this device is still available for purchase and repairs at Apex Waves.
The PCI-6220 is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the PCI-6220 calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the PCI-6220 with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped. Call or email us today for more information about calibrating the PCI-6220!
