National Instruments PXI-8119 PXI Embedded Controller

The PXI-8119 (Part Numbers: 782555-33, 782557-00, 782554-04, 782555-04, 782556-04, 782556-33, 782558-00, 782553-04, and 154166A-912L) is an Intel Core i7 controller for PXI, which is utilized for processor-intensive modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications. The NI PXI-8119 incorporates two Ethernet ports (Gigabit 10/100/1000BASE-TX) and six high-speed USB ports, an integrated 250 GB (minimum Serial ATA hard drive), a serial port, an IEEE 488 controller, one parallel port, an ExpressCard/34 slot, two DisplayPort video connectors, and other peripheral I/O.

The PXI-8119 has different part numbers for different operating systems and conditions. Part numbers with no OS: 782557-00 and 782558-00 (Ext. temp). Part numbers with Real-Time SW: 782555-33 and 782556-33 (Ext. Temp). Part numbers with Windows 7 (32 bit): 782553-04 and 782554-04 (Ext. Temp.). Part Numbers with Windows 7 (64 Bit): 782555-04 and 782556-04 (Ext. Temp.). 

The NI PXI 8119 incorporates the quad-core Intel Core i7-3610QE processor. Quad-core processors contain four cores, or computing engines, in one physical package. They can execute four computer assignments at the same time, which is beneficial in multitasking situations, such as Windows Vista or Windows XP, where numerous applications run at the same time. Multithreaded framework improvement conditions, including NI LabVIEW, can take full favorable advantage of the accessible four processing cores on the PXI-8119 by automatically isolating their tasks into autonomous threads.
