The 780011-01 PXI Digital Multimeter from National Instruments is a key part of the PXI-4065 product family. This 6½-digit multimeter allows for accurate readings of multiple parameters, such as AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, and 2 or 4 wire resistance, in addition to diode testing features. This machine is designed for low-cost test and measurement tasks and serves a wide range of applications, from OEMs to educational laboratories.

With range or function changes carried out at a rate of ten per second, the 780011-01's DC system speed characteristics guarantee effective performance. DC voltage and current auto-ranging timings are quite quick, taking only 200 milliseconds, although resistance measurements take a little longer, 250 milliseconds. A maximum trigger rate of 2.5 kHz and an incredibly low trigger latency of less than 1 microsecond are both present.

The device has an overrange capacity of 105% for DC functions in the majority of ranges, with the 300 V and 3 A ranges being the only exceptions. Reliable readings are guaranteed by capping the maximum 4-wire lead resistance at 10% of the range or 1 kΩ, whichever is less. Furthermore, at 23°C, the DC voltage input bias current stays below 40 pA, demonstrating excellent accuracy even in the face of changing circumstances.

The speed characteristics of AC systems are similar to those of DC systems; range or function changes happen ten times per second, and the trigger delay is less than one microsecond. With regard to DC noise rejection, the 780011-01's AC functions demonstrate an astounding effective common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) of more than 150 dB and a maximum DC voltage component of 250 V.

For current ratings, the instrument provides robust protection mechanisms with a 4.0 Amp current mode fuse.  A maximum continuous current of 3A can also be sustained from HI SENSE to LO.
