This PXI relay module comes equipped with single-side stable, electromechanical relays featuring silver-nickel relay contact material. The National Instruments PXI-2586 weighs around 400 g (14 oz) and is a 3U, one-slot type PXI module with 21.6 x 2.0 x 13.0 cm physical dimensions. The relays utilized in this module are field replaceable, with a mechanical relay life of 1 x 10^7 cycles.
As far as its triggering capabilities are concerned, this model can recognize trigger signals generated at 150 ns minimum pulse width through PXI trigger lines 0–7. However, with digital filtering disabled, users can let their PXI-2586 recognize trigger pulse widths < 150 ns. While operating at 23°C with 50 ohms termination, this relay module can work with less than or equal to -85 dB channel-to-channel crosstalk in the 10 kHz frequency band.
