Keysight E3634A Power Supply
The Keysight E3634A is a programmable DC power supply unit rated at 200 W power. It is identified as a single output precision bench instrument. It provides two selectable voltage and current ranges. The supply supports controlled direct current sourcing for laboratory and system applications. The range 1 delivers adjustable output voltage from 0 to 25 V. The E3634A power supply contains maximum output current up to 7 A at this range. Its range 2 carries adjustable output voltage from 0 to 50 V and provides maximum output current up to 4 A. The regulation architecture maintains stable DC output across load variations. Performance specifications apply at an ambient temperature of 25°C ±5°C. The ripple and noise are measured over a bandwidth of 20 Hz to 20 MHz. Normal mode voltage ripple remains below 500 µVrms. The E3634A works with peak to peak voltage ripple that does not exceed 3 mVp-p and the normal mode current ripple remains below 2 mA rms. The readback performance for the power unit is defined at 25°C ±5°C ambient conditions. The display reflects measured output values within defined tolerances. It supports GPIB through an IEEE-488 interface card. The unit also allows RS-232 communication for PC based control. The output load is protected against overvoltage conditions during operation. Protection status is monitored from the front panel interface. The unit comprises protection thresholds which are adjustable through local and remote controls.
The remote sensing capability compensates for voltage drops across load leads. This function improves voltage accuracy at the load connection point. Dedicated sense terminals reduce errors caused by lead resistance. Stable regulation is maintained under varying wiring configurations. The Keysight E3634A provides front output terminals for bench wiring. Rear output terminals support rack mounted installations and system integration. Dual terminal configuration simplifies connection in fixed setups. The supplied EU cord supports operation with compatible regional mains outlets.
