National Instruments 777101-01 Termination Board
The National Instruments 777101-01 is an optional CB-50LP termination board, which is designed to provide a means of simplifying field wiring connections from I/O signals to compatible National Instruments data acquisition products. The board has been developed for use with NI 650x and NI 6527 DAQ products. The 777101-01 allows users to connect analog, digital, or mixed I/O field signals from test and measurement equipment as well as industrial automation. This small board can be installed into tight spaces with plenty of available terminal connections for field wiring.
The 777101-01 Termination Board has fifty (50) screw terminals on it that allow users to terminate their F-Wire connections directly to the board. Since the user does not have to solder onto the board, installation times are reduced for either laboratory or panel environments. Included with the termination board is a single (1) 50-pin header, which allows for simple connections to standard 50-pin ribbon cables that connect directly to NI DAQ hardware. The termination board comes with metal standoffs that allow the user to place the termination board on a desktop on a freestanding basis or mount the board in a custom panel-mounted arrangement.
As such, the CB-50LP 777101-01 Termination Board is typically used in data acquisition systems where clean, organized signal terminations are critical to measurement accuracy. The CB-50LP 777101-01 acts as a passive breakout accessory; therefore, it introduces no active conditioning. However, it provides a reliable mechanical and electrical interface between your F-wire connections and your DAQ device's I/O connector. Due to this reason alone, engineers working with NI 6503 digital I/O modules, NI 6507 digital I/O modules, NI 6508 digital I/O modules, NI 6509 digital I/O modules, or NI 6527 digital I/O modules often pair their setups with these termination boards to simplify their wiring during system integration, commissioning, or prototype development within their automation and instrumentation work environments.
