It is designed as a rear-access mounting solution to automate test equipment installation and deployment. This rear-rack-mount kit has been engineered to provide easy access to module connectors, I/O ports, and other back-panel-mounted components of your PXI test system while ensuring maximum air flow and cable management for high-density PXI configurations.
The NI 778643-02 Rear-Rack Mount Kit is supplied with the required mounting brackets and hardware to install the PXI-1042 chassis onto the rear rail of a typical 19" equipment rack. Using this rear-mounting technique allows you to retain the valuable front panel space on your rackmount enclosure for displays or additional instruments while still having ready access to all module connectors and I/O ports at the rear. Additionally, this rear-mounting method can greatly enhance ease of use when maintaining your PXI modules.
