The USB-6501 supports software-configurable input and output operation, with its digital lines operating in software-timed mode. The interface uses open-drain outputs with onboard 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistors. Its power-on state places the digital lines in a high-impedance input configuration, helping prevent unintended output states during startup.
The included labels can be used to identify the P0, P1, and P2 ports and simplify wiring and troubleshooting. The 779376-01 is useful in applications where the USB-6501 is used for digital signal monitoring, switching, event counting, prototyping, laboratory exercises, or light industrial control.
