Designed for field reliability and safety, the module includes a front-facing spring-terminal connector for secure wiring. Each channel undergoes NIST-traceable calibration and features 250 Vrms channel-to-earth ground galvanic isolation, protecting the system against high-voltage transients while eliminating common-mode ground loops. Housed in an IP40-rated enclosure and rated for operation from -40°C to +70°C, the unit offers a typical room-temperature accuracy of 0.77°C with a measurement sensitivity of 0.02°C.
Engineers deploy the 780493-01 within CompactDAQ and CompactRIO chassis to add high-channel-count temperature sensing without consuming excessive slot space.
