National Instruments 783106-01 Voltage Input Module

Part number 783106-01 from National Instruments is the identifying number for the NI-9244 Voltage Input Module. This C Series module features three input channels that make measurements between the signal and a neutral fourth channel. Compatible with both the CompactRIO and CompactDAQ platforms, the 783106-01 utilizes a 24-bit Delta-Sigma ADC with analog prefiltering. The typical input voltage range for AIx-to-Ground, Neutral-to-Ground, and AIx-to-Neutral conditions measures at 997.5 Vpk, while the minimum voltage is slightly lower at 992 Vpk. In addition, the 783106-01 carefully manages the crosstalk for frequencies of both 60 Hz and 1 kHz, attaining -100 dB and -74 dB respectively.

The 783106-01 guarantees precise measurements by using an internal master timebase (fM) that operates at a frequency of 12.8 MHz. and has an accuracy range within ±100 ppm. In addition, the voltage input module has the capability to accept an external master timebase, or to export its own master timebase. To synchronize the data rate of the 783106-01 with other modules, they must all share a single master timebase source. Depending on the master timebase used, the 783106-01 can accommodate various data rates. The data rate range for the internal master timebase is 1.613 kS/s to 50 kS/s- while the data rate range for an external master timebase is 390.625 S/s to 51.2 kS/s. 

The power consumption of the 783106-01 is incredibly efficient, with a maximum power requirement of 332 mW when in active mode and only 50 µW when in sleep mode. It features screw-terminal wiring, and can accommodate a copper conductor wire gauge from 0.2 mm2 to 3.0 mm2 (24 AWG to 12 AWG). 

Panel mounting is recommended for the 783106-01 in order for the module to withstand shock and vibration. During operation, it can handle 10 Hz to 500 Hz of random vibrations as well as 10 Hz to 500 Hz of sinusoidal vibrations.
