National Instruments PXI-2523 PXI Relay Module

Featured with individual DPDT armature relays, the NI PXI-2523 (Part Number: 778572-23) is a general-purpose, 2 A, 26-Channel Relay Module. Each relay included in this module is the nonmatching type with low thermal offsets and extremely low on-resistance. The PXI-2523 can easily be programmed through software and provides onboard relay count tracking. By its efficient relay density and coupling of current/voltage ability, this switch module is considered as an ideal solution for ATE (automated test equipment) loads for controlling lights, fans, and heaters.

With this DPDT Relay Module, the user can achieve 100 V (maximum) channel-to-channel and channel-to-ground switching voltage. Since it is a Measurement Category I rated module, the NI PXI-2523 is designed to carry signal voltages lower than 100V. However, this model can tolerate up to 500 V impulse voltage. The National Instruments PXI-2523 offers 60 W, 62.5 VA (DC to 60 Hz) maximum switching power and 2 A maximum switching current per channel. This module allows the operation of 26 relays at maximum current simultaneously while working at ≤55 °C.

This module comes equipped with high-efficiency relays featuring 1 ms typical operating time and 1 × 108 cycles mechanical relay life. In addition, these relays can easily be replaced in the field. The NI PXI-2523 can receive minimum 150 ns pulse width signals through PXI trigger lines 0-7. However, it can also recognize < 150 ns pulse widths when operating with digital filtering disabled. By design, the PXI-2523 is a one slot, 3U PXI module, which consumes 5 watts of power while running at 5 volts.
