The 781949-01 is a PXI Digital Waveform Instrument from National Instruments that is also known by the model name PXIe-6556. For digital generation channels, the 781949-01 enables configurable drive voltage levels, swing, and impedance to ensure the best possible signal integrity and compatibility with downstream components. Safety features including output protection and software-selectable tristate control are included.
The digital acquisition channels include adjustable acquisition voltages and thresholds to allow for accurate signal collection and processing. The device accommodates different input needs by providing 50 Ω or high-impedance terminating options.
Furthermore, the channels designated for active loads offer precise control over load characteristics, including commutating current source, sink, and voltage.
