National Instruments PXI-5610 PXI RF Signal Upconverter

The NI PXI-5610 (Part Number: 778737-01) is a 2.7 GHz upconverter in a 2-slot, 3U PXI module. The PXI-5610 highlights a wide continuous bandwidth and a very steady timebase, accurate to within ±50 ppb. It gives astounding integration with modular function generators for RF generation applications. The NI PXI-5610 can import and export triggers from the PXI trigger bus, the PXI star trigger line, or the front board SMA connector. The PXI trigger bus extraordinarily rearranges synchronizing RF estimations with other PXI modules, such as DMMs, sound analyzers, and machine vision modules. 

The NI PXI-5610 RF Signal Upconverter can have the amplitude exactness of the analog input calibrated. The device operates using the NI-RFSG driver software, which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI. The 10 MHz reference clock on the PXI-5610 can synchronize to any of three sources—the installed high-accuracy OCXO reference clock, an outer reference clock, or the PXI backplane. By utilizing the PXI backplane, the user can synchronize the PXI-5610 and other PXI modules without utilizing any cables. The user can also synchronize the PXI-5610 to an outer source by utilizing its 6 SMA-type front panel connectors: the 10 MHz OUT, TO AWG CLK IN, REF IN, INPUT, LOCAL OSC OUT 0, and RF OUTPUT connectors. It has a warm-up time of 30 minutes, a temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C, and a recommended calibration interval of one year.

The NI PXI-5610 Upconverter works with Windows 2000/NT/XP, uses the LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI driver software, offers a frequency range between 250 kHz and 2.7 GHz, 20 MHz of continuous transmission capacity, an output power range of -145 dBm to +10 dBm, 130 dB of flexible gain, and a high-stability OCXO time base. The device has a weight of 41.1 oz., with the dimensions 8.5 x 1.6 x 5.2 in.
