SCC-AI03, 10 kHz, ±10 V, Isolated Analog Input Module
National Instruments SCC-AI03 Isolated Analog Input Module
The National Instruments SCC-AI03 (Part Number: 777459-22) is a 10 kHz bandwidth, 1.0 gain Analog Input Module featured with module-to-module and channel-to-ground isolation. This module is designed to operate with any SC-2345/2350 or SCC-68 because it can be plugged into analog sockets on these models. The socket used determines which E/M Series device channels on the E/M Series DAQ device will receive the signals generated by the National Instruments SCC-AI03. For single-stage input conditioning, the user can plug the NI SCC-AI03 into any slot available on the SC-68.
This module can also be used in a dual-stage configuration by employing the SCC-AI03 as the first-stage module in an SC-2345. With this module, gain adjustment and voltage adjustment can quickly be accomplished by the user with the help of an E/M Series DAQ device. The NI SCC-AI03 filter comes with an integrated filter with 3 poles, 60 dB/decade rolloff, and 10 kHz cutoff frequency. It can easily be coupled with RTDs, thermocouples, pressure sensors, and a wide range of modules and carriers. The device is equipped with 1 20-pn right-angle male connector and 1 4-pin screw terminal. It has a maximum analog power requirement of 410 mW, a maximum digital power requirement of 650 mW, 2 NRSE input channels, and an input impedance of 100 MΩ.
This device can also be configured with the help of the MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) tool. In its factory configuration, the SCC-AI03 Isolated Analog Input Module is shipped with the gain adjusted to the predefined limit. However, the user can adjust the gain by using their E/M Series DAQ device. The SCC-Al03 can additionally operate in conjunction with another SCC analog input module on one analog input channel. The user can then pass an analog input signal using both a filter module and an attenuator module.
The NI device weighs 1 oz, with a screw terminal wire gauge of dimensions: 24 to 12 AWG. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a noncondensing humidity range of 10 to 90% RH.

National Instruments SCC-AI03 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Why does the value appear to be scaled wrong on my SCC-AI03?
Answer: If your value appears to be scaled wrong on the SCC-AI03, check to see if the signal source is floating. Make sure to properly ground reference your source and try again.
Question: Why am I having oscillation problems with my SCC AI03?
Answer: Your SCC AI03 may not be grounded. When they are not connected to anything, they can oscillate, pick up ambient EMI, or saturate to their input rails.
Question: Can the NI SCC-AI03 amplify the input signal?
Answer: The NI SCC-AI03 can amplify and filter the input signal, which can result in higher measurement accuracy.
