National Instruments 776572-02B Voltage Input Module
The part number 776572-02B from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the SCXI-1102B Voltage Input Module. This module is designed for signal conditioning of thermocouple units, voltage sources, millivolt sources, and current sources. The signal conditioning sources compatible with this module should have a current range of 4 mA to 20 mA or 0 mA to 20 mA. The 4 mA to 20 mA helps with troubleshooting and open loop testing to make sure that the signal conditioning source is working even when the signal transmitted is zero which is 4 mA in current.
This module can support up to 32 differential analog input channels while also being compatible with different types of signals. To reduce errors and increase accuracy, the 776572-02B module features an integrated cold junction compensation which allows this module to maintain its measuring integrity.
The 776572-02B Voltage Input Module is designed to be integrated with the SCXI modules and can also be installed on the SCXI chassis which can mount this module more securely as well as power it with a 5 volts supply with a current rating of 15 mA maximum. The input signal of this module has a range of ± 100 mV or ± 10 Volts with a maximum input damage range of ± 42 Volts AC peak or Volts DC. The module features a 50-pin sub-D ribbon I/O connector cable and a 96-pin male DIN C front connector. These ribbon cables help with neat wiring of the inputs and outputs.
The 776572-02B is designed to be compact and portable with dimensions of 115 mm by 273 mm and weighing approximately 126 grams. This module can sustain a maximum operating temperature of 50 degrees Celsius, while the storage temperature of this module ranges from -55 degrees Celsius to 150 degrees Celsius. This module does not feature an Ingress Protection rating, protecting it from dust and moisture. It hence should be installed in a neat and dry area, preferably in its supported SCXI chassis which does come with an IP 65 protection rating protecting the modules installed from dust and water jets.
