SCXI-1322, 48 Screw Terminals, Temperature Sensor Terminal Block
National Instruments SCXI-1322 Temperature Sensor Terminal Block
The SCXI 1322 (Part Number: 777687-22) is designed to be used with the SCXI-1122 module. This Terminal Block mounts to the front of the SCXI module. The NI SCXI-1322 has an onboard sensor for cold junction compensation and can be utilized for many types of measurement applications which necessitate isolation. There are 48 screw terminals on this Temperature Sensor Terminal Block, allowing simple connection to the SCXI-1122 input connector. Sixteen pairs of the screw terminals link to inputs of the NI SCXI-1122. The other seven pairs of screw terminals are used for the module excitation channels.
The National Instruments SCXI-1322 Terminal Block has two terminals: VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/SENSE-. When the resistors R3 and R4 are loaded (which is the factory default), the user can utilize the VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/SENSE- terminals as VEX+ and VEX- terminals, correspondingly. For example, when there is a heavy load and all 16 of the channels are linked to 16 120 Ω strain-gauge half-bridges, then the user should take off resistors R3 and R4 to modify the VEX/SENSE+ and VEX/SENSE- terminals to sense terminals. The terminals must link to the VEX+ and VEX- leads at the load for remote sensing. Thus, they will make up for the voltage drop in the excitation leads. Since the SCXI-1122 module offers one voltage excitation channel, the user can remotely sense their excitation voltage at one load location. The user can utilize one pair of excitation leads for all the loads. However, if remote sensing is not utilized, the user must utilize a separate pair of excitation leads for every load.
SCXI-1322 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Terminal Block will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
