The SCXI-1357 is a High Voltage Backplane Adapter. National Instruments manufactured this High Voltage Backplane. The NI SCXI-1357 is manufactured with part numbers 776575-57, 776575-571, 776575-572, and 185008B-01. Part number 776575-57 is just the backplane. The other part numbers are kits. Part number 776575-571 comes with a 1 m cable and part number 776575-572 comes with a 2 m cable. The cables are utilized to route the analog and digital signals to an external scanning DMM.
This High Voltage Backplane Adapter can be utilized to control various NI switch modules, including the SCXI-1127, SCXI-1128, SCXI-1129, SCXI-1130, SCXI-1175, SCXI–1166, SCXI–1167, SCXI–1169, SCXI–1193, SCXI–1194, and SCXI–1195. The SCXI-1357 can be used with the NI-4060, PXI-1010, and PXI-4070 SCXI Controllers. The National Instruments SCXI-1357 links SCXI systems to measurement devices. The NI SCXI-1357 is designed with a 4-slot high-voltage analog bus, along with a mounting bracket to ensure a dependable link to the SCXI chassis. This High Voltage Backplane Adapter is also shielded for better preciseness and has options for multichassis configurations available.
The NI SCXI-1357 is operated in multiplexed mode, which means that only a single cable assembly is needed to link a multimodule SCXI system to one measurement device. The National Instruments SCXI-1357 High Voltage Backplane Adapter functions with a maximum current of 2 ADC, 2 AAC per channel. The SCXI-1357 has a 10-pin rear connector. The device has a USB 2.0 full-speed specification with a data transfer speed of 12 Mb per second. Also, it is equipped with USB power requirements of 25 mA typical and a maximum of 100 mA at +5 VDC.
The NI device has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 °C to 50 °C and –20 °C to 70 °C respectively, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10% to 90%. The SCXI-1357 is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1.
SCXI-1357 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the High Voltage Backplane Adapter will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
