National Instruments USB-6341 Multifunction I/O Device  

The USB-6341 (Part Numbers: 781438-01, 782254-01, 782251-01, 782250-01) by National Instruments is a multifunction data acquisition device tailored for industrial automation. It integrates four 32-bit counters/timers with digital and analog input, providing flexibility for a range of uses, from test automation and control to simple data logging.

It can support analogue input with up to 16 single-ended or 8 differential channels, each having a maximum sample rate of 500 kSamples/s and 16-bit resolution. In addition to enhanced timing features made possible by NI-STC3 technology, which offers independent analogue and digital timing engines for precise measurements, the device guarantees precision with DNL and INL criteria. The two channels in the analogue output portion have a maximum update rate of 900 k samples per second and a 16-bit resolution. Applications requiring accurate and fast analogue output can be satisfied by its fine control over output signals, low output impedance, and overdrive protection.

The 24 channels that the USB-6341 provides for digital I/O can be individually set as input or output. Moreover, it has four 32-bit counters/timers that provide edge counting, pulse width, and quadrature encoding, among other metrics. These counters/timers provide numerous input routing choices and can be synchronized with external signals. Because of the device's USB 2.0 Hi-Speed or full-speed compatibility, quick data transfer rates are possible for effective host computer communication. 

The USB-6341 is available in two connector variations, BNC (part number 782251-01), and screw terminal (part number 781438-01). Twenty BNC connectors and thirty screw terminals are included in the BNC enclosure, while sixty-four screw terminals are included in the screw terminal enclosure. These enclosures are ideal for industrial settings due to their sturdy design and small size. Part numbers 782250-01 and 782254-01 represent the board only version of the device, distinct in their different sampling rates (500 kS/s and 2 mS/s).
