National Instruments 781053-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module
The 781053-01 is an identifying part number for the PXIe-6356 Model. Designed by National Instruments, it is a flexible, multipurpose data acquisition device with simultaneous sampling. This module includes four 32-bit counters, digital and analog I/O, and analog and digital triggering. It provides sophisticated timing functions, such as independent analog and digital timing engines and retriggerable measurement jobs, thanks to its NI-STC3 timing and synchronization technology.
With eight differential analog input channels and a 16-bit ADC resolution, the 781053-01 PXI Multifunction I/O Module can sample at a rate of 1.25 MS/s per channel. Data accuracy and integrity are ensured by the module, which promises there are no missing codes. With one trigger source accessible via AI <0..7> and APFI 0, it enables a variety of analog triggers. Start, Reference, Pause, Sample Clock, and Sample Clock Timebase are among the trigger functions. There are three types of trigger modes: analog edge, analog edge with hysteresis, and analog window.
The 781053-01 has two channels in its analog output portion, each having a 16-bit DAC resolution. The device assures 16-bit monotonicity and a maximum DNL of ±1 LSB, resulting in accurate and seamless output signal production. Along with strong digital I/O capabilities, the module has 24 total channels. These are separated into 16 Programmable Function Interface channels (PFI <0..7>/P1 and PFI <8..15>/P2) and 8 channels on port 0 (P0.<0..7>). Because each terminal can be separately programmed to function as an input or output, a wide range of applications can be accommodated. The digital I/O portion also features input voltage protection of ±20 V on up to two pins, as well as a standard pull-down resistor of 50 kΩ and a minimum of 20 kΩ.
Applications for the 781053-01 are numerous and include transient recording, ISDN, ADSL, and POTS production tests in the telecommunications sector, as well as intermediate frequency (IF) digitizing. It is also appropriate for high-energy physics research and for testing sonar and ultrasound. The setup and measurement procedure are made easier and more efficient by the integrated NI-DAQmx driver and configuration tool.
