TBX-96, 14 AWG, 96 Screw Terminal, Mass Termination Terminal Block
National Instruments TBX-96 Mass Termination Terminal Block
Featured with 96 screw terminals, the NI TBX-96 (Part Number: 777264-01) is a mass termination Terminal Block. This Terminal Block is designed for the SCXI-1104 Series, SCXI-1102 Series, SCXI-1140 Series, and the SCXI-1100. The screw terminals on this Terminal Block can be connected to the corresponding channels of the SCXI module through a SH96-96 shielded or R96-96 ribbon cable. The user can easily connect the signal wires by pushing the stripped end of the wire completely into the terminal.
This model comes equipped with one 96-Pin Male DIN Connector on the front panel. Beneath this DIN connector, there are three rows of screw terminals: A, B, and C. Each row has 32 screw terminals. Accessing the right screw terminal is not an issue because of labeling. The process of mounting the NI TBX-96 is straightforward because it does not involve any particular tool. The user can easily attach the Terminal Block by snapping it into a compatible DIN rail. There are two compatible DIN rails for the NI TBX-96: DIN EN 50 022 and DIN EN 50 035. Although, this model will mount on the majority of regular DIN EN mounting rails. In addition, the National Instruments TBX-96 Terminal Block can easily be removed from the DIN rail with the help of a flathead screwdriver.
This Terminal Block offers 60 VDC, 30 Vrms, or 42.4 Vpeak maximum operating voltage, and can handle up to 14 AWG wires. The NI TBX-96 is an adequate substitute for conventional front-mount terminal blocks.
The NI device weighs 11.2 oz (315 gm), measures 7.78 x 4.94 x 2.47 in. (19.76 x 12.55 x 6.27 cm) in physical dimensions, with a screw terminal size of 26 to 14 AWG. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 50 °C and –20 to 70 °C respectively, and a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10 to 90%. The TBX-96 is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3111-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1.
