Featured with a vertically mounted 68-pin connector, the NI CB-68LP (Part Number: 777145-01) is an unshielded, low-cost Connector Block from National Instruments. This Connector Block offers easy connectivity with a broad range of 68-pin devices, including timers and counters. The NI CB-68LP is widely used in systems where 68-pin data acquisition devices are used. The vertical orientation of the 68-pin connector on this Connector Block brings great flexibility to users. The CB-68LP Connector Block comes equipped with strong, metallic standoff feet. Thus, you can mount it on a custom panel or deploy it on your workbench or desktop. This Connector Block can be used in a variety of applications but isn’t recommended for systems where shielded terminal blocks or connector blocks are required.
To use the CB-68LP, the following equipment are needed: a compatible 68-pin DAQ device and device documentation, CB-68LP/CB-68LPR accessory kit/kits as the case may be, 0.0509 to 3.31 mm2 (12 to 30 AWG) wire, appropriate cables for the device, wire insulation stripper, wire cutters.
The NI CB-68LP has another variant, “CB-68LPR,” that comes with a right-angled mounted 68-pin connector to be deployed with the CA-1000. This Connector Block is a simple yet effective utility that can help you in quick and more effective deployment of your data acquisition, measurement, or control system. With this Connector Block, users can complete the entire device-to-device cabling work without any special tools. The NI CB-68LP has a 68-pin SCSI connector to provide direct connectivity to 68 cables. The CB-68LP is suitable to be used with devices whose EMC requirement does not restrict you to use shielded cables and accessories. However, the NI CB-68LP can also be used in a shielded container with shielded cables to provide better results in an electromagnetically charged or noisy environment.

It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 °C to 70 °C and -20 °C to 70 °C respectively, noncondensing operating and storage humidity ranges of 5% RH to 90% RH and 5% RH to 90% RH respectively.
