National Instruments PXIe-6739 Analog Output Module

National Instruments created the PXIe-6739 (Part Number: 783801-01), a high-density analog output module, for demanding applications including open-loop simulations and stimulus-response tests. With up to 64 voltage outputs supported, this module provides accuracy and adaptability for data acquisition requirements. The device has a maximum DNL (Differential Non-Linearity) of ±1.0 LSB and 16-bit resolution, offering precise granularity. Every channel functions using an unscaled data format consisting of unsigned integers between 0 and 65,535.

With up to 16 channels—each belonging to a different bank—it can reach its maximum sampling rate. With a timing resolution of 10 ns and a guaranteed timing accuracy of 50 ppm of the sample rate, the module provides strong timing precision. Apart from its analog output capabilities, the PXIe-6739 incorporates four counter/timers and twenty digital I/O lines, increasing its usefulness for a wide range of applications. When it comes to interacting with external devices, the digital I/O lines can be independently set as inputs or outputs.

With support for edge counting, pulse, pulse width, and period measures, among other counter measurements, the module is more adaptable to a wider range of measuring jobs. Advanced features including digital triggering and PXI Express synchronization capabilities are available on this module for triggering and synchronization. Users are empowered to design unique measuring solutions that are customized to meet their unique needs thanks to these functionalities, which allow for easy interaction with other motion, vision, and data acquisition products.

Through its broad ±10 V output range, DC coupling, and 0.2 Ω output impedance, the PXIe-6739 guarantees precise and steady output signals. To protect linked systems, it also offers overdrive protection and power-on/off glitch avoidance. Connectivity-wise, the module complies with specification rev 1.0 and is intended to be used with x1 PXI Express peripheral slots.

Due to its small form factor (16 cm × 10 cm), it can be used in places with limited space. With shock resistance up to 30 g peak and operational vibration tolerance from 5 to 500 Hz, the PXIe-6739 is also designed to survive challenging operating circumstances.
