The National Instruments 785831-01 (PXIe-8861) is an Intel® Xeon® E3-1515M based embedded controller designed for PXI Express systems. It is suitable for demanding tasks like RF, modular instrumentation and data acquisition applications. This controller features a quad-core processor with 8 MB SmartCache that enables efficient processing for high performance applications. It supports up to 32 GB of quad channel DDR4-2133 RAM with an 8 GB standard configuration that allows users to handle memory intensive tasks with ease.

This embedded controller is equipped with multiple connectivity options to ensure versatility. It includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one i219 and one i210 with 1588 support for precision time synchronization. The device also offers four USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports for high speed data transfer and peripheral connectivity. The controller features two Thunderbolt 3 Type-C ports that support rapid data transfer and peripheral expansion. For video output, it includes one DisplayPort 1.1 and one DisplayPort 1.2.

The 785831-01 module is equipped with a solid-state drive with a capacity of 512 GB or more using NVMe technology for fast read/write speeds and reliable performance.
