Keysight E1442A General Purpose Switch
A dependable, register-based VXI module ideal for industrial automation systems requiring high-density signal routing is the Keysight E1442A 64-Channel General-Purpose Switch. It is designed for use in several switching scenarios. This C-size, 1-slot module may be used as a trustworthy digital output module or to design scalable signal switching topologies due to its non-latching form C type relays.
The E1442A is made up of two main parts: a detachable terminal block and a component card that houses the relays. There are 64 form C relays on the component card, each of which can provide three separate axial component placements. Engineers can customize the functioning of the module to meet specific requirements by installing jumpers, fuses, or protective resistors in these designated locations. Additionally, the component card has internal buses that, when coupled to any relay terminal via added components, guarantee increased circuit layout freedom.
Full access to the form C (SPDT) capabilities of the relays is made possible by the solder lugs on the standard terminal block of the E1442A. A screw terminal block with access to form A (SPST) contacts is provided by Option 020 for customers who need simpler configurations. The E1442A is versatile enough to be used in a variety of applications thanks to Option 010, which offers full form C connectivity along with extra customization possibilities.
The E1442A can actuate external devices and is designed to function effectively with any combination of open or closed channels. Reliability is guaranteed by the non-latching armature relays, while setup time and error-proneness are minimized by the QUIC simple-to-use terminal block and its simplified wiring. The module can handle up to 150 V of maximum voltage (DC or AC rms), 1 A of maximum current per switch, and 40 W (DC) or 40 VA (AC) of maximum power rating per switch.
