Keysight E1343A High-Voltage Relay Multiplexer
The B-size, 1-slot VXI module Keysight E1343A General-Purpose Reed Relay Multiplexer was developed for high-voltage switching applications. With its 16 channels and their configurations of guard, low, and high connections, this multiplexer can handle demanding test situations and provides dependable switching capabilities. A B-size component card with the label E1343-66201 and a detachable screw terminal block are included in the E1343A module. The screw terminal block easily attaches to the component card, making installation and maintenance simple.
The E1343A is functionally similar to the E1344A, providing users with flexible switching configurations. It can operate as a single 1 x 16 three-wire multiplexer, two independent 1 x 8 three-wire multiplexers (suitable for four-wire resistance measurements), or a 1 x 8 six-wire multiplexer. This flexibility makes the E1343A ideal for a variety of testing scenarios, especially when high-voltage measurements up to 250 V are required.
The design of the module includes analog bus connections that provide access to all 16 channels, along with tree-switched common high, low, and guard screw terminals. Users can precisely control the multiplexer setup by using the SCPI command [ROUTe:]CLOSe to close the channel and tree switches. When used with Keysight Digital Multimeters (DMMs), the multiplexer offers channel scanning, which improves its functionality in automated test configurations.
With its sturdy reed relays and break-before-make functionality, the E1343A is designed to provide the least amount of signal disturbance possible when switching. Relays are kept in an open position during both the power-down and power-up phases, adding another degree of security and dependability. Relays in high-duty cycle applications are guaranteed to last for a minimum of 10 million operations under rated load.
Secure and versatile connectivity options are offered by the screw terminal block of the module, which can handle wire diameters ranging from 16 to 26 AWG. The E1343A is a good choice for high-speed data collecting and signal routing jobs in automated testing systems because it can scan 350 channels per second on average.
