Keysight N2260A Multiplexer Module
The Keysight/Agilent N2260A is a 2-wire multiplexer module with 40 channels and is a high-density reconfigurable device for production test systems. It provides controlled signal routing for multi-point measurements across automated electrical test environments. The module supports flexible configurations through SCPI mode and legacy command mode support. This design allows the module to fit both modern platforms and older test systems without switching redesigns. The dual-wire multiplexer module uses latching relays for stable channel selection. It also includes 2 non-latching relays for multiplexer routing functions inside the switching structure. It can be configured as one 80-channel 1-wire multiplexer in SCPI mode. The N2260A handles switching up to 1 A per channel. It supports maximum switching voltage of 200 V for compatible signal routing applications. It carries maximum switching power of 60 W or 62.5 VA safely for controlled low-power production test switching tasks. The multiplexer uses armature-latching relays for dependable switching-state retention during channel operation. Latching relay operation helps maintain selected paths without continuous coil power during stable operation. The initial closed channel resistance remains below 1 Ohm for each selected channel path. This low contact resistance supports accurate measurement transfer across connected signal paths reliably.
This multiplexer module keeps thermal offset below 3 µV. This low offset is important when routing small voltage signals through multiple relay contacts. It helps reduce unwanted measurement error in sensitive data acquisition and production verification systems. The module is suitable for scanning thermocouples, voltage signals, and resistance measurement points. It provides a maximum scan rate of 80 channels per second. This scan speed supports automated test sequences where many channels require repeated measurement access. The mechanical relay life is rated at 100,000,000 operations under specified operating conditions. This long mechanical endurance supports repeated switching cycles in high-volume production environments continuously. The Keysight/Agilent N2260A module is designed for general production test applications. It works well where many test points must connect to shared measurement instrumentation directly.
