The Keysight E1345A 16-Channel Low-Offset Relay Multiplexer delivers a typical scanning rate of 600 channels per second. It is configured as a B-size, single-slot register-based VXI module that handles 16 measurement channels. It switches high, low, and guard signals across all channels with minimal thermal offset. This multiplexer is engineered to meet the demands of high-accuracy measurement in industrial automation environments.
The Keysight E1345A 16-channel low-offset relay multiplexer supports operation as a 1 x 8 six-wire multiplexer configuration. The screw terminals accept wire sizes from 16 to 26 AWG to accommodate standard field wiring practices. The terminal block design provides reliable mechanical connections for test environments with multiple wiring requirements. The model uses reed relays configured in a break-before-make switching sequence to maintain signal integrity. The relays open automatically during power-up and power-down events to protect connected measurement circuits.
The relay multiplexer accepts a maximum DC input voltage of 120 VDC measured between any terminal and chassis. The AC RMS input is rated at a maximum of 120 V RMS for the same terminal conditions. The maximum current per channel common is 50 mA for noninductive load connections. The maximum allowable power dissipation per channel on the model is rated at 1 VA.
The maximum thermal offset voltage on the differential Hi-Lo measurement path per channel is 4 µV. The closed channel resistance on the E1345A 16-channel low-offset relay multiplexer is specified at 100 Ω with a tolerance of ± 10%. The insulation resistance measured between any two points across the module is rated at 10E9 Ω. The multiplexer delivers a minimum bandwidth of 10 MHz at -3 dB with protection resistors shorted. The channel-to-channel crosstalk is -70 dB at 100 kHz and -20 dB at 10 MHz. The closed-channel capacitance is below 150 pF on the Hi-Lo path and below 150 pF on Lo-Guard. The guard-to-chassis closed-channel capacitance specification on the multiplexer is rated below 2000 pF.
