Keysight E1460A Relay Multiplexer
As a high-density, register-based VXI module- the Keysight E1460A 64-Channel Relay Multiplexer is intended for C-size, single-slot applications. This multiplexer provides a flexible and adjustable switching architecture that is compatible with various wire modes thanks to its latching armature switches. To meet the needs of various applications, it can be configured as a 128 x 1-wire, 64 x 2-wire, 32 x 3-wire, or 32 x 4-wire multiplexer. A QUIC screw terminal block (part number E1460-80011) that attaches directly to the component card for simple setup and operation is included with the module along with an E1460-66202 component card.
SCPI instructions or status bit jumpers on the terminal card are used to control the E1460A, which is housed inside a C-size VXIbus mainframe. It has 64 two-wire channels that may be reconfigured to create different channel configurations as desired. These channels allow the HI and LO lines of a channel to be connected to the common (COM) line in each bank. Because the multiplexer is made for high switch density applications, it is perfect for testing printed circuit boards, semiconductors, and wire harnesses and cables.
Eight banks, each with eight switchable channels and a COM channel, make up this module's relay switches. With independent HI (H) and LO (L) lines, each channel is independently controlled, guaranteeing accurate and dependable switching operations. In addition, seven control relays (0990 to 0996) on the switch card are able to regulate the COM lines between the banks according on the mode that is chosen.
The E1460A can be configured for scanning voltmeter applications, which allow numerous multiplexer modules to be integrated and addressed as a single switchbox or scanning multimeter, for increased versatility. Because the entire system can be managed with a single interface address, this capability enables simplified testing procedures. Option A3E is another option for the module; it comes with connectors for different configurations as well as a terminal housing that can be crimped and inserted.
