National Instruments SCXI-1169 General-Purpose Switch Module

The NI SCXI-1169 (Part Number: 776572-69) is a 100-channel Switch Module with individual single-pole single-throw (SPST) or Form A relays. This module is suitable for medium-power automated test loads and provides the highest relay density. This module is also completely software-programmable and has a 32,000-step scan list for deterministic scanning feature. The SCXI-1169 can switch 100 VDC/100 VAC maximum or 1 A maximum. This General-Purpose Switch Module can count relay closures on the separate relays. Relay counts are incremented every time a relay is triggered. The counts are saved on the module and can be recovered through programming, then utilized for predictive preservation to minimize unanticipated system downtime.

 The NI SCXI-1169 module has a useful scanning feature, which allows it to make the most of throughput in automated test applications. Scanning increases throughput by downloading a list of as many as 32,000 links to the module. Then, it cycles through the list with an event (trigger) without any disruption from the host processor. Scanning is the most effective when the NI SCXI-1169 module is mated with a companion modular device that will issue a trigger after every measurement is finished.
